Hometown boy does good
Gary Storm, president, CEO, and founder of VCOM Solutions, grew up in Salinas, California, attended Cal Berkeley, and currently calls Danville home. In 2006, Entrepreneur Magazine ranked VCOM as the 51st fastest-growing company in the United States.

Grow with it
"When I started VCOM and was the only employee, I knew I wanted to be in Bishop Ranch," says Storm. All told, VCOM has changed offices three times at Bishop Ranch.

"Because they have so many options, it's a no-brainer to stay here," Storm says, "and it's a lot easier on my employees to not make massive geographic changes every time we grow. When you're expanding Bishop Ranch seemed willing to tear up our lease, and that was one of the major selling points for me."

It takes a village
Storm says he appreciates the wealth of events and activities that give Bishop Ranch a warmth that makes it unique. "As a landlord, they help create a sense of community within the park. They had a Christmas tree lighting for the holidays, and you can take a CPR class—there are all sorts of events where people can talk and learn and engage with each other," he says.

Time to focus on what matters
"I've always loved the Bishop Ranch layout," Storm says. "It's a professional-looking workplace. It's very clean, there are a lot of amenities, there's security—they just take the time to make the park look good. I don't have the time to do those types of things; so, for me, it's very easy to be here. I get to focus completely on running my business."

Location, location, location
The location—roughly halfway between San Francisco and Silicon Valley and just minutes from the East Bay's biggest cities—is good for VCOM's sales team who are constantly on the go.

Storm says that the rich networking environment at Bishop Ranch has helped VCOM land other Bishop Ranch tenants as clients. "As a matter of fact, one of the things we'd like to offer to any business that moves here is our services—we'd love to help them out."
