Commuter Saves
Thousands of Dollars
Talk about good timing: One lucky Solano County commuter who works at Sprint in Bishop Ranch 15 bumped into Marci McGuire, Transportation Center manager, in the elevator, and it turned out to be one of the luckiest rides of her life.
Each month, Randy was spending $80 on bridge tolls and $250 on gas to drive alone to work from Cordelia. When told that she could cut her cost from $330 to $75, Randy was skeptical. But she was quickly convinced when Marci explained how she could ride the Solano BART Express Bus directly to Walnut Creek BART and then transfer to a free Bishop Ranch bus.
Randy’s total one-way commute time? 60 minutes — only five minutes more than driving alone. Her total savings? A whopping $3,160, plus wear-and-tear costs on her car. Reducing her stress level? Priceless!
We would like to help you make over your commute. To get started, contact the Transportation Center at 830-0101, at brtc@bishopranch.com or at www.bishopranch.com (click “Transportation”).
