State Notary Exam

followed by 60-minute state exam

This daylong study session is presented by the National Notary Association (NNA), which trains more notaries nationwide than all other providers combined. The workshop will give you the confidence and expertise you need to ace the state notary exam at the end of the day. (If you don’t pass the test after the training, the NNA will enroll you in another program or refund your registration fee — your choice.) FYI: A minimum of 20 people must register in order for the NNA to hold the seminar. To sign up, call Tenant Services at 543-0100. Deadline: MONDAY, July 23. Computer Recycling—
the Remix

Mark your calendar: Our convenient computer recycling program returns to Bishop Ranch on Wednesday, July 25. The following items can be recycled: electronic devices, such as computer monitors, hard drives and cases, keyboards, mice, printers, fax and copy machines; VCRs; DVD players; televisions; telephone equipment; power supplies (batteries, lead-filled cable, coaxial cable); and iPods. Regular batteries can also be recycled. Sorry, no appliances will be accepted.

An added bonus: The Transportation Center will be on hand to answer commuting questions, to sell transit tickets and to provide transit incentive information. Don’t miss the $50 prize drawing.

Child and Infant First Aid/CPR

When a child is choking or an infant has stopped breathing, every second counts, and waiting for a 9-1-1 response can take precious minutes. Wouldn’t you feel more confident if you knew how to react quickly to such an emergency and to provide potentially lifesaving care?

This first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) seminar offers hands-on training, using mannequins to teach techniques. The instructor is Ray Adams of Adams Safety Training, an American Heart Association training center and Bishop Ranch tenant. Adams Safety Training provides on-site group and individual classes.
