7th Annual Bishop Ranch Tree Lighting
Thursday, December 4, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
6111 Bollinger Canyon Road (BR1)
Outdoor Event

Join the excitement! Our seventh annual Tree-Lighting Holiday Celebration is just around the corner, and you’re cordially invited to attend the festivities. Please bring your family and friends to celebrate the holiday season with us.

You’ll enjoy the spectacular lighting of our 65-foot holiday tree, live music, sleigh rides and other spirited entertainment.

A variety of vendors will be selling refreshments. Of course, the hit of the evening will be the arrival of Santa, who’s taking time from his busy schedule to meet and greet the Bishop Ranch community. Don’t miss the opportunity to bring your camera and pose with jolly ol’ St. Nick.

Gather up your loved ones, your cozy attire and your good cheer, and help us spread the holiday spirit. No RSVPs are necessary; if you have questions, give Tenant Services a jingle at (925) 543-0100. Happy holidays!

Food Drive for Local Food Bank OR
Help Fight Hunger
November 3 — 26
With the help and support of the community, the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano serves more than 82,000 people each month, and distributes 8 million pounds of food each year.

To bring a brighter holiday season to those in need, the food bank needs help from the Bishop Ranch community. High-demand items include canned meat and fish; peanut butter; iron-rich cereal; fruit juice; dry beans; canned vegetables; tomato products; enriched rice; powdered milk; and canned, ready-to-eat meals. Look for the red barrels in your building lobbies and courtyards. (Note: no glass items.) Your support is tremendously appreciated. Another way to give is to participate in the “Buy a Bag Program” for the holidays. Make a donation by purchasing colorful paper Christmas stockings. Each $1 donated enables the Food Bank to distribute $6 worth of food. Contact Kathy Gleason at kgleason@foodbankccs.org for more details on this Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano program.

If you have questions about the food drive, please call Tenant Services at (925) 543-0100.

Eye Glasses Drive
November 4 thru October 2009
Primary Eyecare Network
800-444-9230
3000 Executive Parkway, Suite 310,
San Ramon, CA 94583
Did you know that over 300-million men, women, and children around the world are blind or vision impaired simply because they don’t have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses? Why? Because in some countries there are not enough trained personnel, nor the infrastructure or materials to support these desperately needed eye care services. Their next medical mission to Chillakalu will take place in October 2009.
Local Bishop Ranch tenant, Primary Eyecare Network (PEN), is asking for your help in assisting Hope for India in achieving their mission through donation of your old frames and glasses. As an ongoing support effort, glasses and frames will be collected on-site at the PEN office, located at 3000 Executive Parkway, Suite 310. There is a receptacle placed in the suite’s foyer where we will gladly accept any donations that may assist in bringing sight to those who need it most. For questions or more information on ways you may contribute, please contact PEN at 800-444-9230 or visit Dr. Lech’s website at www.clearvue.org. Your help and assistance is sincerely appreciated.
